Nestled in the hills on the Northwest side of the Stags Leap District, Silverado Vineyards has become an iconic estate and home to some of Napa Valley’s most-recognized wines for almost forty years. Silverado's Soda Creak Ranch vineyards were originally planted in the 1880s and later restored by the millers in 1992. The vines are planted with bud wood from other historic Napa Valley vineyards and head-trained, resulting in wines with aromas of freshly cracked pepper, wild berry patch and savory spices.
Tasting Notes: The 2017 Silverado Soda Creek Ranch Zinfandel is ripe and powerful, yet a balanced acidity provides freshness. Briary blackberry, fig, and candied strawberry are met with white pepper, spicy dried lavender and toasted coconut flakes.
